User Guide - Self-Etching Primer Surface Preparation: Sand surfaces to be painted with any 280-320 grit sandpaper. All surfaces must be absolutely clean and free of grease. Washing with a water-based degreaser such as Marine Clean followed by a heavy rinsing with clear water is necessary to insure a clean surface. Metal surfaces should be treated with Metal-Ready for maximum adhesion. Application: For Aerosol Can: Shake can until ball moves freely for one minute. Hold spray nozzle 10-15 inches from the surface to be coated. Spray one to two covering coats allowing 10 minutes between coats. Temperatures should be between 60-90 degrees Fahrenheit. When you are finished using POR-15 Self-Etching Primer Aerosol, invert the can and spray away from your job until nozzle is cleared out. If nozzle clogs during application, remove it and clean with POR-15 Solvent. Do not insert pin or other object into can valve. Always replace spray nozzle with the valve pointing away from you. Do not burn, incinerate, or place the can in your home trash compactor. For all other Cans: Stir well until all contents of the can are completely mixed. Apply one to two covering coats allowing 10 minutes between coats. Temperatures should be between 60-90 degrees Fahrenheit. Coating: POR-15 Self-Etching Primer can be top coated after 30 minutes. It is not necessary to sand POR-15 Self-Etching Primer before applying the coating. Caution: Be careful to avoid contact with eyes and skin. If product gets into eyes, flush with copious amounts of fresh water. Get prompt medical attention. If swallowed, drink large quantities of milk or water. KEEP OUT OF THE REACH OF CHILDREN
